History

Toll Gate Auto Parts sits on a hill top on the west side of Greensburg Pennsylvania, the site of the west toll gate on the old Pittsburgh - Greensburg Turnpike. In the 1870s "the Pike" as it was called was one of the most important of Pittsburgh's roads. People and goods moved between Pittsburgh and Greensburg along this route, and they stopped to pay their toll at the small toll house that once stood where Toll Gate Auto Parts now stands.
